The Into Film Festival is the world’s largest annual free film festival for young people. A celebration of film and education, it supports Into Film’s vision to put film at the heart of children and young people’s learning, contributing to their cultural, creative and personal development.
Into Film’s aim is to help educators bring learning to life for 5-19 year olds across the UK by inspiring young people to watch, make and understand film in new and creative ways. To support this, the Festival provides thousands of free film activities, workshops and cinema experiences to engage and entertain young people and educators alike.
Festival films, events and resources support a wide array of curricular areas including English, Film and Media studies, History, Citizenship and Modern Foreign Languages. Additionally, many of the films screened have multiple cross-curricular links.
In Pembrokeshire, the Torch Theatre is screening Hedd Wynn (Secondary) on November 4th and the excellent Iron Giant (Primary) on November 5th. Theatr Gwaun is showing Khumba (Primary) and Much Ado About Nothing (Secondary) on November 12th and the Iron Giant (Primary) and Les Enfants de Timpelbach (Primary/Secondary) on the 19th.
