Our Films From the 2013 Film Festival
Clearly a well-planned story which involves the whole class in the production. Exemplary use of special effects to set up the story. Very good performances from the actors and good use of low angle and high angle shots, plus some very skilled hand-held scenes. (Winner of the Curriculum Award for best storyboard and editing)
Another inclusive well-structured story with excellent use of special effects and, this time, good use of sound effects and a genuinely frightening character too! Once again, some very good hand-held action from the monster’s point of view that conveys the thrill of the chase. Very well edited too – this film has a real Dr Who feel to it. Good work! (Joint winner of the Curriculum Award for best storyboard and editing)
Our film from the 2009 Film Festival.
This is a comprehensive school guide film. Well-planned and shot with good use of long shots, mid shots and close-ups. You could think about using voiceovers more, and less of the presenter to camera. However, we liked the use of the presenter for interviewing the runners and footballers.
